Lot Description

1786 New Jersey Copper. Maris 14-J, W-4810. Rarity-1. Straight Plow Beam, Stegosaurus Head. AU-58 (PCGS). 155.5 grains. Glossy medium brown with some hints of luster and really impeccable visual appeal on both sides. The obverse is fully struck, showcasing all the clashing and striations inherent in the obverse die in this die state, equivalent to SHI Die State 2. The obverse is aligned to roughly 1 o'clock, the reverse close to 6 o'clock. A few little laminations are seen, and some old harmless encrustation is still present within the shield.
