This cent is nicely struck and choice except for an obvious planchet lamination through the E in CENT into the ribbon loop below where it fades away. The additional die lines at ONE CENT are sharp. Our grade is MS64 net MS60for the lamination. Tied for CC#10 overall but tied for CC#3 of the die state (an example in state a is unknown). The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 4; none finer.Estimated Value $1,500 - UP Ex Herman Halpern, Stack's 3/16/1988:544-J. R.
