Lot Description

An ever-popular and in-demand early American copper that is difficult to locate in any straight grade holder. The present example, while displaying an old worn down mark on the cheek, displays nice surface quality, which is highly atypical for the issue. The obverse is an attractive milk chocolate color, highlighting the choice planchet and even retains a moderate amount of glossiness - an artifact highly sought after by copper enthusiasts. The reverse is also an even, milk chocolate color, with only minor planchet flaws. Overall, a perfect type coin for the picky collector or EAC member.
