PCGS recently announced its list of 2026 Set Registry Awards winners, with more than 60 sets and their collectors receiving recognition across a variety of categories representing the breadth of the United States numismatic catalog and nations around the world. The awards were announced at the PCGS Cocktail Reception, which was sponsored by Stack's Bowers Galleries and held at the 2026 American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money. This special event, which was headlined by an exclusive display of coins from the Tyrant Collection, saw more than 130 in attendance. Set Registry Award winners were recognized and received their crystal award in person as the full room also got the scoop on PCGS breaking news and other exciting announcements.
“We are so excited to recognize our collectors during our company’s special 40th anniversary year,” said PCGS President Stephanie Sabin. “In honor of PCGS’s jubilee celebration, we are elevating the PCGS Set Registry Awards program so we can honor more than 60 sets and collectors and bestow each with keepsake plaques suitable for display, vouchers, and more. It’s also just one of the many benefits of using the free PCGS Set Registry. Our innovative collecting platform allows collectors to organize their sets across multiple categories and devices, complete exciting achievements in a friendly competition for the most points, and complete the highest-rated sets to win yearly awards.”
Charles Morgan, PCGS manager of numismatic research and programs, further remarked, “Only one winner is recognized in each U.S. denomination and series category. The fiercely contested Lincoln Cent category highlights a rising collector demand for ultra-condition 20th-century rarities. In the classic U.S. coin categories, judges faced the difficult task of weighing sets containing many of the finest-known examples against complex sets requiring hundreds of difficult-to-find die pairings.”
