Losbeschreibung: O/O. 86 graded MS-64, 79 higher at PCGS. Somewhat extraordinary for 1908-O, the strike has fully realized every single one of the finest details on both sides, to an extent that light repunching of the mintmark actually stands out in bold resolution (under a loupe), and the eagle's wingtips have been completely delineated right down to the most minute edges that distinguish them from the underlying peripheral letters. Rather attractive album toning encircles each side and elevates the visual appeal to such an extent that PCGS probably forgave some faint slide marks that almost imperceptibly sneak across Liberty's face. About as close as one gets to the "Gem" level without unloading thousands of additional dollars for that privilege.
