Ex Friend Collection, as noted on the insert. A FABULOUS, Condition Census O-103, tied for second FINEST KNOWN of this Rarity-2 die marriage. Beautiful turquoise and amber-orange golden toning graces both sides of this impressively lustrous near-GEM. Boldly struck devices are exquisitely sharp. This coin has just a single scratch on the lower reverse, which we note for accuracy, which is hidden from view by the beautiful toning. Ex. Heritage, July 2003, lot 7371; unknown intermediaries; Dale Friend Collection; the Dale Friend Collection of Bust Half Dollars, Heritage, August 2018, lot 5128, where it realized $21,600.
