Lot Description

A very handsome example of this short lived type. Choice AU surfaces show off ample surviving mint frost. Both sides show a lovely orange-gold glow with some hints of naturally toned olive-green gold. The originality and eye appeal are great. PCGS 29, NGC 40, CAC 6. We sold a PCGS AU53 CAC in our Regency Auction 26 for $1,351 and a PCGS AU53 (no CAC) in our July 2018 Premier Session for $908. The current CU value is $1,300. A lovely early gold type coin. Cert.
