Losbeschreibung: This is a SUPERB GEM! It is NOT the coin that just sold in our last sale. Deep mirrors beam boldly from all over. The mirrors are remarkably clean and have exceptional clarity. A small obverse die crack should be mentioned (Mint made). The contrast is strong. If you twirl the coin the mirrors look like a freshly made sheet of glass. Every detail is pinpoint sharp in strike and has strong frost. The date is pretty neat-if you use magnification the 8 appears to be double struck. The eye appeal is gorgeous! PCGS 7, NGC 9, CAC 6. There is only 1 PR67+ and nothing higher. The last PCGS CAC example to sell in auction was the one we just sold for $6,168 in December. This date based on our experiences has always been the stopper date when building a set. Opportunity knocks loud here especially if you are building a set. This is a fresh coin to the market too!
