Pretty honey-gold surfaces also exhibit blended orange-apricot and pinkish-rose iridescence that further enhances the eye appeal. Both sides are well struck and sport sharp to full definition throughout the design. Satin to softly frosted luster is strong for the grade, and we note only small, wispy handling marks that help to define the BU assessment from PCGS. This is an extremely popular Centennial year gold issue from the Carson City Mint, and if the bidder is unable to obtain the MS-62 in the preceding lot, this 1876-CC $20 is a highly desirable alternative.
