- 1842-O Seated Liberty Half Dollar. Medium Date, Medium Letters. WB-102. MS-62 (NGC). Handsome originality takes the form of golden-blue peripheral toning on the obverse and mottled blue-gray and orange-copper highlights on the reverse. Other areas exhibit softer reddish-gray and pearl-gray patination. Fully struck with softly frosted luster, both sides present as uncommonly smooth at the BU grade level. This may be the more plentiful hub combination of the 1842-O Seated Liberty Half Dollar, but the Medium Date, Medium Letters is an important condition rarity in its own right in Mint State.
