THE SOMMELIER COLLECTION B-1, which is actually a Small Letters reverse, mislabled by PCGS as Large Letters. The reverse is identified by a die crack that connects the olive leaves to the eagle's wing, up into the base of UNITED then through STAT, before going into the rim above E. Crusty and original, this piece has a delicate blue-gray tone overall with gold and sea-green that come out in a light. We note a light "A" formed from a couple of wispy scratches on the obverse, noted for accuracy. Obviously the eye appeal was not affected too badly to preclude grading or CAC approval. PCGS 75, NGC 75, CAC 19. The last PCGS/CAC example sold for $3,173 in June 2017. Prior to that one sold in April 2013. The current CAC CPG value is $1,690. Scarce in Mint State, this will make a wonderful addition to a great "Everyman Type Set." Cert. Number 21264407 PCGS # 5348
