Lot Description

1825/4/2 Capped Bust Quarter. B-1. Rarity-5. Fine-15 (PCGS). This is a rare and seldom offered die pairing from this particular year. The obverse is light grey in the fields and the devices are a tad lighter silver in color, producing the desired two tone effect. Furthermore, darker gray toning is tucked into the design recesses giving the coin an even more dramatic "defined" look. Many die variety collectors are missing this variety altogether, so this mid grade, wholesome and handsome example should find several ways to please.
