IMPORTANT FIRST YEAR ISSUE. Earning a CAC designation because of it's fresh and ORIGINAL MINT BLOOM and frost. Well struck and eye appealing. Pretty wisps of pastel iridescence lend to the originality of the coin. Made in both a Large and Small Date formats, the Large Date is the more common of the two truly making it a type coin. A two year-only design struck from 1837-1838 without stars on the obverse, that is needed to complete every type set. PCGS 158 NGC 233. CAC 26. The list price on PCGS Price Guide is $1,750.
