A magnificent example, easily one of the FINEST KNOWN and has to be one of the nicest examples that survives! Blazing red brilliant luster rolls all over the satiny smooth surfaces of this exceptional GEM. The devices are sharply struck and show full definition on both sides. Free of any distracting marks or discolorations anywhere, the eye appeal is stunning and gorgeous. The surfaces are as pristine today as they were 140 years ago when this beauty came off the dies. PCGS 33, NGC 8, CAC 4. There are 4 graded MS66+ RD. Nothing graded higher than MS66 RD has ever sold, and the most recent 66 RD CAC had a serious mark on it and it still brought a strong $9,600 in the 2019 ANA auction, clearly the Collectors Universe value of $8,500 is too cheap! There are 3 graded 67 RD, which also have never sold in auction. When the hammer falls, this lot will no doubt see a RECORD price realized. Bound for a world class Indian Head cent collection.
