1795 Liberty Cap Half Cent. C-2a. Rarity-3. Manley Die State 3.0. Lettered Edge, Punctuated Date. AU-55 (PCGS). A Condition Census quality coin that is certainly in the top six for the variety behind two stellar Mint State examples of this variety. The color and surfaces are a feast for the eyes, with satin smooth surfaces and perfectly even light brown patina. No spots or handling issues whatsoever and a simply delightful coin to study. The two known Mint State examples of this variety are tied up in major Half cent collections and unlikely to appear on the market anytime soon, and if they did would probably bring multiples of the price of this desirable piece.
