Lot Description

1884 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-65 (PCGS). Offered is a richly toned and expertly preserved half dollar, with razor-sharp striking definition and mark-free surfaces. Deep layers of mottled, multicolored patina give the piece an unmistakably original appearance. This issue had a mintage of 875 coins, but very few have survived to be graded at the premium Gem Proof level or finer by either service.
