Lot Description

What a lovely GEM example for the Coronet half cent type. Well struck devices stand out against smooth lustrous surfaces that are toned in a soft brown, pale iridescent blue accents and a wealth of golden-red that clings to the protected areas of design types. A few tiny ticks keep this GEM in the current grade, but the eye appeal is certainly higher. PCGS 41, NGC 57, CAC 26. There are three graded MS65+ at PCGS and just five finer (all MS66 BN). The current PCGS Price Guide value is $1,500 and with its great look, we think that level will be exceeded when the hammer falls. A great type coin. Cert. Number 28213193 PCGS # 1230.00
