1848 Liberty Seated Dime. Fortin-101. Rarity-3. MS-64 (PCGS). CAC. Undeniable originality takes the form of delicate powder blue and pale olive-russet peripheral toning around silver-gray centers. Lustrous and satiny throughout with a sharp strike to all features. The 1848 (just 451,500 pieces produced) is one of the scarcer Philadelphia Mint dimes from the 1840s, especially in the finest Mint State grades, as here.
