1872-CC Liberty Seated Dime. Fortin-101, the only known dies. Rarity-4. Good-4 (NGC). A thoroughly respectable circulated example of this elusive CC-Mint dime issue. Although well worn, both sides are pleasingly smooth in hand with none of the environmental damage or other causes of roughness so often seen on early date Carson City Mint silver coins. Originally toned, as well, with warm golden-gray patina that is a bit bolder on the obverse. With the rims largely distinct and all major design elements boldly outlined, this key date 1872-CC dime is sure to find many wiling buyers in today's market. PCGS# 4657. NGC ID: 23A8.
