1787 Nova Eborac Copper. W-5755. URS-10. Seated Figure Facing Left. Medium Bust. AU-53 (PCGS). Slightly off center to the viewer's left, yet suitably bold in overall detail save for typical (for the type) softness of detail to the central devices. Of considerable significance is the fact that the date is bold and not affected by less than perfect centering; only about 20% of known examples are this well defined in the date area. Mostly medium-brown in tone, the reverse contrasts somewhat with an obverse awash in more irregular orange-brown and medium-brown patina. Minor, shallow roughness to the planchet is as made, and there are no significant abrasions.
