1891 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-65 (PCGS). CAC. This richly original specimen exhibits bold peripheral toning in mottled steely-copper and sandy-gray. Areas of virtual brilliance remain in the centers, with vivid undertones and a reflective Proof finish readily evident as the coin rotates under a light. A premium quality survivor from the final Proof issue in the long-running Liberty Seated half dollar series that began in 1839.
