FROM THE SAND HILL COLLECTION. Despite a generous mintage of over 2 million coins, this date is very RARE in GEM and finer grades. This MS65 is among the 20 finest graded by PCGS. Frosty mint luster blooms all over with a strong radiance in the fields. The details are razor sharp in definition. A dusting of light toning at the date adds to the visual allure. Premium quality in every sense. PCGS 9, NGC 16, CAC 6. This is the coin that sold in the 2015 FUN auction for $3,760; all four PCGS/CAC coins have sold in the $3,200 to $4,000 range and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $3,500.
