Lot Description

Struck during the first year of coinage at Carson City, a mintage of 54,617 1870-CC seated half dollars were struck. Very few unimpaired exist, especially in higher grades. Here we have a handsome midgrade specimen! Gently toned a light golden grey with touches of gold and olive along the rims. Nice amounts of luster remain in the protected areas complimenting the delightfully distraction free surfaces.
