Lot Description
1908-D Barber Dime. MS-65 (PCGS). Although the 1908-D is the first Denver Mint Barber dime that will not pose too much difficulty to locate in Mint State, it is only slightly more plentiful at this level of preservation than the first year 1906-D. It is rarer than the 1911-D, 1912-D and 1914-D, and in the finest Mint State grades, as here, is every bit as challenging to locate as the lower mintage 1907-O. This is a virtually brilliant example with a razor sharp strike and intense satin luster. PCGS# 4847. NGC ID: 23F8. PCGS Population: 14; 22 finer (MS-67+ finest). Provenance: From the Frog Run Farm Collection.
