Lot Description

This is a virtually pristine example with faint champagne-golden toning on each side. Both sides are highly lustrous with a silky smooth appearance. Razor sharp striking detail is also a praiseworthy attribute for this premium quality example. The 1959 has a generous mintage of 6,200,000 circulation strike, survivors of which are nonetheless elusive in grades above the MS-65 level, with or without an FBL designation. In the latter category, and at the premium Gem level of preservation, the 1959 is very rare and only infrequently offered in today's market.<p><p><p><p>
