Losbeschreibung: 1788 Connecticut Copper. Unattributable. Mailed Bust Right--Overstruck on a Nova Constellatio Copper--Fine-12 Heavily Corroded. 85.8 grains. A rough deep olive-brown specimen with uniform crumbling of the surfaces and green-white patination in the deepest design recesses. The Connecticut copper details are plain though weak -- a true devotee of the series may be able to come up with a Miller attribution though no doubt with some difficulty. Host coin wreath around the seated figure of Liberty on the reverse. PCGS# 397.
