1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar. O-119. Rarity-4. AU-50 (PCGS). Pale steel gray surfaces exhibit warm golden toning highlights on both sides. Nicely struck from clashed dies with plenty of details in the devices. We note some central and peripheral planchet adjustment marks on the reverse, as struck, and not detrimental to the eye appeal. Other marks are at an absolute minimum with no single mark worthy of individual discussion. A choice example of the second year in this two-year design type, a coin that would be a welcomed addition to many early half dollar sets currently being formed.
