Offshore Technician Consignment. 1858-D falls well toward the scarcer end of the scale for Dahlonega gold, ranked fifth-rarest by Doug Winter among the 26 five-dollar emissions. Glittering surfaces suggest a pleasing example here despite fifteen points of wear overall per PCGS. A small, smoke-grey planchet flaw crosses over the eleventh star but no other mint-made anomalies can be found. What remains are scattered light contact marks, and practically only touch-wear on the upper portions of the design.
