1868 Liberty Seated Half Dime. MS-65 (PCGS). This lovely Gem is minimally toned at the borders with semi-reflective fields supporting frosty, overall boldly struck design elements. Scarce to rare in all grades, the 1868 half dime was produced to the extent of just 88,600 circulation strikes during an era in which silver coinage did not circulate in the East and Midwest United States.
