Description du lot: FROM THE YOUNG-DAKOTA COLLECTION. We looked this coin over multiple times, and all we can say is "Wow! why didn't this quarter DCAM?" The contrast is very impressive with fully struck and frosted white devices and deep, beaming "black" mirrors. The mirrors are ultra-smooth and amazingly flashy with a vibrant brilliance that is nearly blinding. Both obverse and reverse have a delicate album tone at the rims, that frame the bright, brilliant, untoned silver centers. The eye appeal is spectacular in every way! Only 735 Proofs were struck. PCGS 16, NGC 24, CAC 14. There are just four coins graded PR67+ CAM. Prior to this one, the only PCGS/CAC PR67+ CAM to ever sell via auction realized $6,463 in our October 2017 Regency Auction. The current PCGS price is listed at $6,150. Only four coins are graded higher in the Cameo designation, and just one is CAC-approved; anything finer is likely a five-figure coin and this coin represents a great value for the Barber collector.
