Lot Description
Pretty champagne-gold iridescence with a subtle intermingling of powder blue and pinkish-rose around the obverse periphery. A soft strike through the central reverse is more than offset by intense satin to semi-reflective luster and a noteworthy lack of even trivial blemishes. Very nearly in the MS-66 category, and worthy of a nice premium. The 1915-D is one of the more plentiful Barber half dollars in terms of total number of Uncirculated coins extant, but at the upper reaches of Gem Mint State, as here, examples are rare. Ideal for inclusion in a top-flight type set.
