Lot Description

Although the 1925-D exists in somewhat greater numbers, the edge in desirability for Mint State type purposes among late date Indian quarter eagles goes to the 1926. This is the most consistently well struck issue in the series, and the present example does not disappoint in this regard. Both sides are sharply defined throughout and also sport lovely color in a blend of vivid orange-honey and reddish-rose hues. Lustrous, frosty and undeniably original, Indian quarter eagles at the certified BU grade level do not come any nicer than this.
