Ex Gehring Prouty  Blinding luster and smooth surfaces assure us that this coin never circulated.  The obverse strike and detail are a marvel.  Tim was Gehring Prouty’s closest friend in the BHNC.  He chose this coin and 20 more when the Prouty Collection was dispersed at the 2000 summer ANA Convention in Philadelphia.  Estimate: $3,500 to $4,000
