Lot Description

Undated (ca. 1652-1674) St. Patrick Farthing. Martin 1b.1-Unattributable, W-11500. Copper. Nothing Below King. Fine-12 BN (NGC). 103.2 grains. Martin (2018) lists this obverse die paired only with reverse Ba.1, however the reverse of this coin is different. The design elements at the top of the reverse are off the flan or otherwise obscured, making it impossible to determine the punctuation in the legend, although there does appear to be a single stop after the final S in PLEBS.
