1878-CC Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-63 DPL (NGC). As noted by Wayne Miller, Deep Prooflike examples of this first-year Carson City Mint issue are "unusual," as confirmed by current population and census reports at PCGS and NGC. This select Mint State representative displays sharply frosted devices that are exactingly struck throughout. Moderate bagmarks and luster grazes, located mainly on the obverse, keep this specimen from an even higher numeric grade assessment.
