- Exceedingly white with chalky motifs, it is nearly quite astounding how long this proof dime has defied the inevitable effects of time. Neither side displays even a hint of toning, not even at the rims, resulting in a stark specimen of unusual merit. The flash of merely the lightest, occasional hairline may be seen on either side, although a strong lamp is required to detect them.
