1722 Rosa Americana Halfpenny. Martin 3.3-C.1, W-1222. Rarity-5. DEI GRATIA REX / UTILE DULCI. AU-55 (PCGS). CAC. A fully original Choice AU example with dominant ruddy-brown patina to both sides. Traces of lighter golden-tan outline many of the design elements and represent faded mint color. The texture is a tad rough, yet not distractingly so, and with no significant marks this boldly defined coin is a highly desirable offering for discerning type collectors. PCGS# 104.
