Lot Description

Softly frosted surfaces are further enhanced by wisps of delicate pinkish-gray iridescence. The strike is sharp with most features crisp, both sides a tad muted, yet free of significant marks. The 1998 Logan-McCloskey reference on early U.S. Mint half dimes states of the 1835 LM-7: "A scarce die marriage. High grade examples of this die marriage are difficult to obtain." In an MS-66 holder the present example is clearly significant from a condition standpoint and worthy of serious bidder consideration.
