1847/7 Liberty Half Eagle. Repunched Date. MS-62 (NGC). OH. A loupe reveals fairly bold remnants of what appears to be a smaller 7 along the top of the primary digit 7 in the date. Among the finest-known survivors of the variety, this piece is fully Unc with satiny luster and rich olive-orange color. Sharply struck throughout, with no more than the expected number of wispy abrasions at the BU grade level. An important find for the advanced collector of gold coin varieties.
