Lot Description

The 1,000 to 1,500 coins extant for the final-year Draped Bust issue have long done yeoman's work in type sets and early dime collections. With such strong demand attractive and problem free survivors in the finer circulated and Mint State grades are quite scarce from a market availability standpoint. Astute collectors, therefore, would be wise to take full advantage of the opportunity presented here. It is for a sharp AU survivor with strong detail to the central motifs. The peripheries are a bit soft in places, typical of the issue, but neither significantly nor distractingly so. Warmly and evenly toned in copper-russet that provides a handsome appearance overall.
