1880-CC Morgan Silver Dollar. VAM-6. Top 100 Variety. 8/Low 7. MS-66 PL (NGC). An overlay of pale silvery tinting to both sides hardly inhibits our appreciation of glowing, mirror finish fields. The devices are set apart with both razor sharp striking detail and a thick, frosty texture. A rare high grade PL to represent this popular VAM variety, the die polishing required to impart a mirrored finish to the fields usually sufficed to remove all remnants of the 7 underdigit. Very low pop!
