Lot Description

Nicholas Jackson Collection. Overton-113, "small date, small letters". One of the easily attributable Overton varieties for 1834, an erroneous and subsequently effaced "E" still shows on the motto just right of the correctly placed letter. Golden-grey embraces the surface and helps emphasize a better-than-average strike. Nevertheless, worn dies helped create the distended obverse stars.
