J. Mainstream Collection. First glance gives the astounding impression that this quarter-eagle was struck upon a copper planchet, since both sides have become fully imbued with bronze-golden hue that is quite unusual and distinctive. Closer inspection reveals that the mild optical illusion results from a plethora of purplish toning that cleverly mixes with the gold content. Smooth wear throughout explains the technical grade, with absolutely no distracting marks or contact worthy of note.
