- A truly superior example of this New Orleans Mint issue, both sides with appreciably reflective fields supporting softly frosted design elements. Brilliant, sharply struck and delightful in hand. Although Wayne Miller (<em>The Morgan and Peace Dollar Textbook</em>) opines that "the 1882-O is not rare in prooflike condition [sic]," most such pieces that have been certified are in grades though MS-64. We anticipate strong competition for this top-pop 1882-O among advanced collectors of PL Morgan dollars.
