Lot Description

Pleasant golden-brown patina with warm rose highlights nestled in and around many of the design elements. Obverse impression off center to 1 o'clock with the border into the letters CAESAR, the reverse is likewise off center, but to lower right with the border through the word UNUM. Otherwise we note bold to sharp definition throughout the design. The surfaces are hard and frosty and, while they show evidence of an old, light cleaning, both sides have retoned naturally and attractively, as described above. With this much detail, and considerable eye appeal, this is a suitable coin to represent both the type or Maris number in an above average collection.
