1856-S Liberty Quarter Eagle. AU-53 (PCGS). Olive-gold toning with most of the original mint luster still surviving. Most obverse features are sharp including all of the stars, but striking softness can be seen at the high points of the reverse. NGC has certified fewer than 200 1856-S quarter eagles in all grades.
