Lot Description

Brilliant apart from subtle golden peripheral highlights, this intensely lustrous Superb Gem borders on pristine for the issue. The 1970-D has long been popular with collectors. It is the final early date Kennedy half dollar issue with some silver content, although the 2,150,000 coins struck were not intended for circulation and issued only in Mint sets.
