Lot Description

Frosty surfaces are dressed in a blend of warm medium brown and steely-copper patina. There is evidence for light cleaning here, the texture curiously glossy with faint hairlines discernible under close scrutiny, but there are no sizeable marks, and the color is pleasing to the eye. All major design elements are boldly to sharply defined, border denticulation absent only from 4 to 10 o'clock on the reverse. A number of small to tiny pits are natural to the planchet, none of which are singularly distracting. All in all, this is a nice-looking Laughing Head Connecticut that would do nicely in many cabinets.
