1872 Two-Cent Piece. Proof-66 RD (NGC). A simply beautiful specimen. Dominant rose-orange color yields to warmer undertones of deep olive. Both sides exhibit full striking detail and the features are exceptionally smooth and well preserved. Given that the circulation strike 1872 two-cent piece is a key date issue with just 65,000 coins struck, this beautiful and conditionally rare Proof should have no difficulty finding its way into a high grade date set or advanced type collection.
