Losbeschreibung: 1786 New Jersey Copper. Maris 15-T, W-4825. Rarity-3. Straight Plow Beam, Leaning Head. EF-45 (PCGS). 141.0 grains. Handsome deep tobacco brown with smooth, attractive surfaces. The obverse is aligned to 10 o'clock, reverse barely misaligned just left of 6 o'clock. Some trivial old verdigris is seen, most notably left of the date. Only minor contact marks are seen, and this piece's fine quality stands out at this grade level. There are a fair number of nice examples from these dies, making this a great type coin selection for someone who may already have one of the truly common varieties (14-J., 43-d, 46-e, etc.).
